Digesting the Journey

Vertical Scroll

The new itinerary design embodies traveler‐centricity through a clean, vertical scroll layout. Each trip component‐hotel, flights, transfers, tours, travel insurance, and additional notes‐is clearly segmented, visually engaging, and easy to navigate.

  1. Traveler‐Focused Experience
    • A vertical scroll mirrors how we naturally consume content‐especially on mobile.
    • It aligns with the psychological flow of a trip: start → finish, or departure ← return.
    • Travelers and advisors can follow the story of the journey in a linear, digestible way.
  2. Mobile‐First Readability
    • Most travelers will view their itinerary on phones, where vertical scroll is the default interaction model.
    • A single‐column layout prevents complex navigation or horizontal gestures, which are cumbersome on mobile.
  3. Narrative Flow and Emotional Impact
    • The vertical scroll feels like reading a luxury magazine spread—beautiful storytelling.
    • It supports a chronological journey flow, and reduces cognitive load.
  4. Advisor Efficiency
    • For travel advisors, scanning a trip in vertical scroll means faster editing.
    • It enables quick at‐a‐glance checks, especially with consistent section formatting.
