  • Travel Itinerary System (compromising Quote Builder and Trip Designer)
Trigger
  • The travel agent wants to create and send a personalized trip plan to a client based on selected travel components.
Preconditions
  • Travel agent is authenticated in the system.
  • Agent has access to product search and quote‐building tools.
  • Client information is either known or will be gathered post‐itinerary sharing.
Main Flow
  1. Create a New Quote
  2. Add Trip Components to Quote Builder
    • Removes, edits, or replaces trip elements.
  3. Open Quote in Trip Designer
    • Transitions from Quote Builder to Trip Designer.
    • Selects pricing visibility (show/hide totals, line item prices).
    • Applies branding (agency logo, cover image, fonts).
    • Customizes the Itinerary Snapshot with trip summary, comments, and notes.
    • Reviews client‐facing version.
  4. Share Itinerary
    • Sends itinerary as a web link, branded PDF, or email.
    • Client receives and can view trip on mobile or desktop.
Postconditions
  • A complete, polished itinerary is shared with the client.
  • The itinerary status is logged and can be tracked (viewed, revised, accepted).
  • Client can respond or request next steps (e.g., payment).

View & Respond to a Shared Itinerary

Trigger
  • The traveler receives a shared itinerary from their travel agent and wants to review or respond.
Preconditions
  • The itinerary has been created, customized, and shared by the travel agent.
  • The traveler receives access via a web link, email, or branded PDF..
Main Flow (Success Path)
  1. Receive Shared Itinerary
  2. Open and View Itinerary
    • Traveler views the itinerary via:
      • Web browser (mobile or desktop)
      • Branded PDF
    • Sees:
      • Trip title and overview (Itinerary Snapshot)
      • Trip breakdown (hotels, flights, activities, transfers)
      • Optional pricing (if enabled by the agent)
  3. Review Trip Details
    • Scans itinerary for:
      • Travel dates
      • Accommodation details
      • Tours or activities included
      • Transfer logistics
    • Reads comments and travel advisor notes
  4. Engage with Agent (if enabled)
    • Responds with questions or requests (e.g., change hotel, add excursion).
    • Uses built‐in feedback tools (comments, buttons, chat link).
  5. Next Steps
    • If happy with the itinerary: Approves via button or tells the agent to proceed.
    • If not: Requests edits, which triggers agent‐side revisions.
Postconditions
  • Traveler understands their proposed trip.
  • They have provided feedback, requested changes, or given approval.
  • The itinerary remains available for future reference.
